Daily Mom Hug | Kindness Matters
No one is entitled to your story, nor are you entitled to theirs.
Good morning, fam. On this Monday, I’d like to talk about kindness.
Now, I don’t think I need to explain what kindness is, but I want to talk about the point of kindness.
If you are doing acts of kindness looking for reciprocation or reward, then your ‘kindness’ isn’t kindness at all, but a transaction. Kindness should be an extension of you, of your heart, seeking to ease the burdens of someone else, especially since you know what it feels like to be without that little bit of shared light.
So when you offer kindness, remember that it’s not about the person receiving said kindness. Remember that you offer kindness, because you are a kind and loving person who understands the effect of a loving, kind comment on your day, and the ripple that can happen from that unexpected act.
It won’t only change their day, but yours, too.
What was your last act of kindness? What was the last thing someone said to you that helped you out?
I look forward to hearing about it!
Love,
Your Mom
